Currently The Fluff Appeal is attempting to raise £90,000 in order for my Mum to undergo a second Bone Marrow Transplant. Unfortunately after battling Influenza B and a severe drop in Platelettes, the original Donor cells stopped grafting and now Heather Bradbury has been left batting for her life again and in desperate need of a second transplant. Unfortunately the funding is not available on the NHS so the funding comes down to family and friends this time. After a lifetime of working for the NHS as a Midwife, welcoming new lives into the world, it is felt by many people in the local community that she deserves this chance to have a second Bone Marrow Transplant in order to continue her life and service with the NHS.

So how does someone even begin to raise this sort of money? That was my first question to myself when I realised the severity of the situation. I guess there's no one way, just little by little and hope that those little bits all add up to the right total in the end.
